The fall season of Tabernacles, which includes the holiest days of Israel’s ancient calendar
— Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), and Sukkot
(the Feast of Tabernacles), is replete with the promise of a great outpouring of blessings from God
— which means this season is also a target of the enemy.
I believe it is because the devil knows that this is the season when the Lord Jesus will one day return!
It may not happen in 2023, but many Bible scholars agree that the sounding of the shofar trumpets associated
with these holidays is also associated with the promise of the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 …
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trumpet call of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we
shall be forever with the Lord.”
And it could be this year! But whether or not we experience the Rapture in these next few weeks, our
evangelistic work together is crucially important, because we know the days are short, and only those who are
found faithful at his coming will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord!
