The battle is foretold to involve Israel, as well as the countries we now know in modern-times as Russia, Iran, Turkey, and China.
America is not on this list. Given the insignificant (if any) role America plays in any of the Bible’s last-days prophecy, it stands to reason that the United States will no longer be a global superpower by the time this battle comes to pass.
And America’s rapid withdrawal from Afghanistan — abandoning citizens and allies, emboldening enemies — seems to bare this out.
