Maybe a relationship. Maybe a child or a parent. Maybe the devil stole your provision … your peace … your position. Perhaps your health is under attack or someone you love is lost to you.
And in the middle of your praying, searching, and believing, God is preparing a divinely appointed position for you!
In 1 Samuel 9-10, your bible tells the story of a tall young man whose father was wealthy — “with many donkeys” which had become lost.
That may not mean anything to you. Our modern western culture does not associate donkeys with wealth, health, family, or relationships.
But in the agriculture-focused days of this young man, they were valuable — something like a combine to a farmer. Donkeys represented his livelihood, his wealth, and his ability to provide for his family and community.
The man, whose name was Saul, and a servant went searching for the donkeys. But despite looking everywhere in the surrounding towns, cities, valleys, and hillsides, they could not find them.
Just before giving up and returning home, the servant suggested to Saul they seek direction from a man of God, the prophet Samuel, in the town they were in, saying “everything he says comes true.”
Hesitating only long enough to
find a gift for God’s prophet, Saul and his servant set out … and finding the man, they offered their gift.
The amazing things God did next,
I believe are the same things God is preparing for you now!
- What was lost … had ALREADY been found! Through His prophet, God said the donkeys Saul had been searching for had already been found. You may not be able to see your recovery yet, but it’s on the way home even now!
- Supernatural promotion! God instructed the prophet to anoint Saul as Ruler … King … over his people! Even a special meal was kept for him that he knew nothing about! The Lord has a position of power waiting for you to be appointed to it and you will dine in victory!
- Divine transformation! Chapter 10 verse 6 declares, “The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you … and you will be changed into a different person!” Imagine who you could be, fully saturated in the Holy Spirit of God!
- Gifts of the Spirit were manifest! Samuel said Saul would prophesy with God’s messengers by the Spirit! Don’t wait for 2021 to happen to you. Declare the decree of the Lord and prophesy to your future!
- Divine presence of God Himself. Samuel said whatever Saul would need to do, he would be empowered to do, for God would be with him! With God, nothing is impossible! And since God is with you, nothing shall be impossible for you!
Our Heavenly Father is no respecter of persons. We believe and are praying that as you prepare your gift to sow into this Gospel ministry, God will pour out this five-fold gift of favor on your life as well!
