The Feast of Tabernacles — Sukkot in Hebrew — is one of only three feasts that God explicitly
commanded His people to observe.
“Three times a year all your males must appear before the Lord your God in the place where He shall choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread (at Passover), and at the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), and at the Feast of Tabernacles ...”
(Deuteronomy 16:16)
Deuteronomy 16 goes on to say we must bring an offering — and not appear before the Lord empty-handed!
